Learning Log inside classroom  (week 19)

Today is Monday 7th October, 2013. The time is 8.00 a.m. I have to go to Race building because teaching test is about local in lesson plan 1. My friends have to teaching test and they are preparing for teaching. There are 9 peoples for teaching test. This time is teaching all day. Each people teach different topics such as traveling place, food, occupation, direction, reservation hotel, activities. Moreover, they have many different games for teaching but many things which they have to improve.
        
               The first person, she prepares about material well but some thing is wrong; pronounce “Excuse me” and use the wrong sentence; “Are you understand?”  The second person, she teaches about traveling place and teach vocabulary; cave, waterfall, beach. The third person, he teaches about activities when you go some where. He improves about conversation which they are too much. The forth person, she teaches about listening skill and she manages by giving students movement. The fifth person, she teaches about occupation in Trang. She improves her rubric because she doesn’t edit by her sentences. The sixth, she teaches the food in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Her game is the jigsaw of food. She teaches the structure is “What food do you like?” The seventh person, she teaches about Songkhla and asking and giving direction. The eighth, he teaches about type of hotel by giving brochure each hotel in Nakon. His game is rearranging the word which they are the type of room in the hotel. The last person, she teaches about “either and neither” which they are telling feel of each person. She has to improve; choose the only one.

          To sum up, there are 9 persons to present lesson1 and many things which they improve about rubric, task, pronounce and movement. Some one teach different other person because he teaches about hotel but the most other person teach direction. In my opinion, I think that I can bring the edit word of teacher for improving my next lesson and many thing I have to improve such movement of student, rubric which I think that it’s very difficult for editing in my own sentence.

Reading  skill
Beginning Level Basic Communicative Skills
            Communicative   skills  is  the process of interaction between individuals in society.  There  are  four  communicative   skills  such as  speaking, writing, reading and listening.   Beginning level basic communicative skills are four skills for learners.
            First, speaking. English learners at this level can performs simple tasks in English such as ordering food in a restaurant with the help of visual aids, as well as complete simple transactions in shops. Learners can also provide basic explanations about themselves such as stating where they are from, their marital status, their current employment status, etc. Learners at this level can respond in many basic situations, but find difficulty in expressing and / or inquiring about further detail. Learners have noticeable pronunciation difficulties that can at times hinder their ability to be understood by others.
         Second, writing. Learners at this level can fill in basic forms and complete simple written tasks such as writing a description of their daily routines, or completing a simple e-mail requesting or providing basic information such as meeting place, time, etc. Learners at this level tend to use simple sentences that lack complex structures such as clauses, generally with a lack of linking language. They also tend to make basic mistakes in tense usage even in basic narrations.
          Third, reading. Learners at this level can scan for specific information such as TV schedule times, use bus schedules, etc. Learners have difficulties reading extended texts, but can generally understand the gist of very simple reading tasks.
          Finally, listening. English learners at this level still have great difficulty in understanding anything more than specific information such as time, location and topic. They can understand simple conversations and listening selections after multiple repetition to complete in-class tasks.
            Conclusion, these are  four  beginning level basic communicative skills. Its   can improve   communicative skills  of  learners. I  think   four skills  help  to  learners  for   level  communication  better. 

Reaing skill ( outside classrooom) week 14

  Assessment  and Evaluation 

Today, I  would   like to know  assessment  and evaluation  are quite different. There are important  for lesson plan  because  I   must  assessment  and evaluation   activities   and  tasks.  It  is evaluation instruments so,  there are  quite different  the  term assessment and evaluation.

           An evaluation is more focused on making a judgment or determination concerning the quality of a performance, work product or use of skills against a set of standards.  Evaluations are designed for and intended to document the level of achievement that has been attained.
          An assessment   is more focused on  measuring a performance, work product, or skill in order to offer feedback to document strengths and growth and to provide directives for improving future performance. Assessments are nonjudgmental and are designed and intended to be helpful to produce improvement.
          Conclusions, There are  different. CSS assessments are not like most traditional evaluations. They are conducted through a dynamic process and are tailored to the unique needs of each student. The goal of a CSS assessment is to provide specific insight on a student's learning profile by linking how s/he learns best with an individualized plan for success.

Using Art to Make Summer School More Interesting

            Summer is a period time for stop learning. Students don’t review their textbooks and some person forgets what they learned before. It seems that this is a learning problem because students don’t interest their book.

            Now, at Bushman Elementary in Dallas teachers design their teaching through the art in summer. Art can link to other skills and apply to all subjects. Also, art can teach and learn in all ages. It helps them learn and remember better because they understand the content clearly when they study through art. When they study through art, they have more creative thinking.

            Teaching through the art is a good way for students to learn in summer because it well known that summer is relaxes time for students. Art can make students more interesting in content. Teachers should choose the content that around the students and art can show that how students perform in their learning. So, teachers should design their lesson when they want to teach in summer.

Learning Log (week 14)

Reflection (Observation)
             I observed   at  Satripakphanang   school.   I  observed  Mrs. Uaiporn   Phochouy  at  Pakphanang   school.  She taught   students’ Secondary 1/1. There are fifty students in this class. She taught  Countable Nouns  and  Uncountable Nouns. I  reflected  three  topics that are important for us such as Compare  with  CLT ( Lesson  plan ),critique  and  suggestions.
            First, Compare  with  CLT ( Lesson  plan ) is teacher  didn’t   has  approach  teaching same Communicative Language Teaching CLT  because  teacher  didn’t has  a variety of materials and group process manager. Teacher  is counselor  to students  when students don’t  understand the content.
            Second, critique is teacher  has a good  approaches teaching  and has activities that students can participate in activities every times.  Students   help   answering  and write words on the board. In other hand, teacher  speaks   sentence  incorrect such as  Are you finish?. Teacher write vocabulary  incorrect. For example, teacher  writes  plural noun “ difference ” but she writes word is “ different ”. Teacher should have edit  word that  her writes word incorrect  to students.
             Finally, There are three suggestions in this observation. First, for teacher is teacher  should  have  edits what is wrong  to students. Second, for  your own self is  we should take a good teaching techniques of  teacher  use to  in the activities of our own. Finally, there  are  many   teaching  skills   and  behaviors  for classroom  Action  research  is  lesson  opening  and  closure. Number  of   questions  the  teacher  asks students. Teacher check  students’ understanding  by asking question. Teacher  chosen students to   respond  to question  by who  that  know  answer. Teacher  present  a new vocabulary by using tells to students in Thai language and students tell teacher in English.
            Conclusion, reflection of  these  three topics  that are important for us. I  can  apply techniques for teaching   myself . I  should improve critique  and  choose a good  suggestions  using  for teaching of  me.
