Children Mining Diamonds in Liberia

From VOA learning English. Many children in Liberia are leaving school to work in diamond mine. Half of students dropped out this year to work in there. Although, working in the diamond mine is difficult and dangerous, they also work in there since they can earn much money. It’s well known that children under 18 years old cannot work but they do. It seems that they are illegal. It isn’t good for children to leave the school and work in the diamond mine. The important for them to do now is study because knowledge can help them to have a good work.
